This morning, Chloe discovered that she could LICK the dribbled apples and rice cereal off of her bib. In the process she got apples in her eye–but she loved every bit of it! Obviously, feeding her just got a little bit more challenging! Silly girl!

La Petit Gourmande!
Chloe is six months old today! Hooray! And while I will soon have another post of all the cute things she is into as her big-six-month-old-self, this entry is all about two words: rice cereal. That’s right, today, Chloe had her very first bites of rice cereal, and she ate it up! (literally)
Our first attempt at rice cereal was actually not so much a big hit. I mixed the cereal up with some formula and that=FAIL. Chloe did not like it at all! She tried to be a sweet little girl and take it (because she is so great and wanted to make mommy and daddy happy), but the whole two bites we got down made her shudder like I was shoving squid down her throat. Here is the face that we got after attempt/failure number one:
“No more please.”
However, once I mixed up a new batch with some yummy mommy’s milk, Chloe LOVED rice cereal! At one point, she tired of me using the spoon and decided that her hands would be a much quicker method for feeding herself. Needless to say, laughter and a huge mess ensued. She took the whole batch (a whopping 3 tablespoons =D), and I can’t wait to try it again tomorrow! Here is our photo shoot of the event:
