I am a very blessed mother…

A few weeks ago, we had Edison’s newborn pictures taken by the lovely Brandi Welch! She is awesome (as are her photos). Here are a few peeks at our sweet blessings!

This is our morning routine: I pick Chloe up, and she yells, “Eddy?!” If he isn’t already in my arms, she runs to his room, throws open the door, rips down his bumper and shouts, “Hi!” Melts. My. Heart. Every. Single. Time.

There is nothing like watching our precious little girl love on her little brother. She LOVES him. I did not realize how much watching them interact would bless me.

Love this picture! Look how tiny his little feet are!

L.O.V.E.

So small and so precious.

Look at this face!

Melting.

Our family of four! (Chloe does not believe in standing, sitting or lying still right now–so group pictures are a little bit of a challenge! I love this picture though because it captures what life looks like for us right now: challenging, a little chaotic, and lots of fun!

Thank you Lord for the gift of family! (and Brandi for the amazing photographs!)

Family Photos.

For Chloe’s 6 month birthday, we had some precious family photos taken. Here are just a few of our favorite!

Chloe loves riding on Jeremy’s shoulders! She “steers” him by pulling his hair! Makes me laugh every time!

I just love this one.

And this one.

We are blessed beyond measure!

Coming Home!

That’s right – yesterday, Friday, Chloe made it home with us!!

We are so excited to have her home and can’t wait for her to meet all her new friends!

Chloe’s Finally HERE!

Well this week we had the exciting opportunity of FINALLY meeting our little Chloe face to face!

I know it’s cliche but it was the most AMAZING experience!  In all honesty, as Michelle was beginning to push I began to get a bit anxious…I was wondering…will I automatically love her?  What will my connection be to her?  Now granted for mom’s that’s hard to understand because you guys get to carry the precious cargo for nine months but us fellas – well…we are a bit detached.

BUT…

I loved her more than I have loved anything and I had an INSTANT connection with her – hard to explain it was just AMAZING!

As most of you know, Chloe did contract a viral infection while we were in the hospital and was admitted to NICU but today, Thursday, we get to stay with her overnight and hopefully get to take her home tomorrow.  Life is such a blessing!

So when you see the pics below and you see our faces masked, it’s not a new thing they are doing with newborns…it’s because we were in the NICU lovin on little Chloe.

More to come soon but for now – enjoy the pics and thanks so much for all your support!!

Chloe’s Room

As soon as we picked out the bedding, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with Chloe’s room.  I had a color scheme all planned out in my head–deep coral, deep blue and lime green, but in planning this amazing room, I forgot to consult with my husband.  Unlike many other husbands (or so I hear), Jeremy has strong opinions when it comes to decorating (which I appreciate greatly).  After consulting him about my color choices–I was going to buy the paint I wanted the next day–I realized that my dream color palette did not so much mesh with his.  5 paint samples later, we found a color that we both loved, and nursery decorating began full force!  Here is the (almost) final result!
